Title: Storytelling
and the Creative Imagination
Telling stories from memory to children, without the use of pictures,
enables them to create their own pictures in their minds eye.
Nothing comes between you, the storyteller, and the listener as you
weave the magic and wonder of words.
This workshop will include some history and discussion on the value of
storytelling and the development of the imagination, as well as the
popular forms and themes childrens stories seem to follow.
There will be time for the participants to learn and present stories
to the group.
