Purpose:
To provide an opportunity for those working with children to learn some
new and enchanting stories to be presented as puppet plays. A
hands on workshop to inspire anyone who loves to develop their own
imagination
and that of children of all ages.
Workshop Description:
Pam will bring a collection of table top puppets, crafted from wool and
natural materials, as well as her stage sets and props consisting
of draped dyed muslins, silks, driftwood, crystals and shells etc. for
your
enjoyment.
Pam will introduce a variety of new and enchanting stories to be
presented as puppet plays. Methods of creating table top puppets
will be demonstrated. A hands on workshop where the participants
can work in small groups to prepare a puppet story to take home with
them and use in their own centre. An experience to inspire anyone
who loves to develop their own imagination and that of children of all
ages.
Pam has presented puppet storytelling performances for children from
Kindergarten to Grade 7 in the schools and also for preschoolers.
She has given storytelling workshops for teachers and
Storytelling Theatre Workshops to children at the Whister
Childrens Arts Festival.
